Poverty Bay Riverpoint Rose gets FIVE STARS from Michael Cooper

Released on 02/01/2010

We knew 2009 was a stunning year with the Rose giving us a sneak peek into the potential of the 2009 Merlot Cabernets (to be bottled under the iconic Bridge Estate label).

Absolute proof arrived with Michael Cooper's New Zealand Listener review of our 2009 Poverty Bay Riverpoint Rose - FIVE STARS (equivalent to Gold Medal level).

Michael Cooper had this to say about our Rose in the Listener:

'From the "old vine' merlot and malbec, planted in 1985 at Bridge Estate Vineyard, Gisborne, this is a striking rose, with far greater depth than most. Pink/pale red, ripely scented and fleshy, it has beautifully rich strawberry/spice flavours, with fractional sweetness balanced by refreshing acidity.Worth tracking down".

And YES we still have limited amount of this lovely wine available!
